started fidding with the template of my blog trying to add in some background image...and tada! starry starry background! okay okay....i admit that i did seek the help of google...but still, I did it all by myself.. *pat pat*.. might start making a collage of pics and try to put it up! when i'm freeee....heh

shopped half the day with babu on saturday...and it's impossible that there wasn't any conquest.. heh. caved in to the temptations of this niccee brown baggie!



felt unusually tired after all the walking and when i reached home, my back and feet was seriously aching. had to prop it up high for the blood to circulate... plus was the 1st day of my that thing.... totally KO. slept till 9pm and was awaken by my bro to watch "I am legend" which he downloaded... I like the show!!!

spent a lazy sunday with evil shit today watching runaway jury... i like john cusack..the downside was that the vcd had NO SUBTITLES.... being hopeless at catching dialogues..especially when it's in english, slightly soft, people speaking too fast or in long sentences, with even just a slight slang... that's it. found the storyline rather good after evil shit's explanation...abit late.haha. anyway, was bored during the movie so decided to paint OUR nails... yep..as requested by the victim, no faces should be attached to this pic..... granted!

one of my pet peeves...

here's my contribution to the potluck at evil shit's friends house. The Christmas tree was courtesy of my bro... he's weird leh..exceptionally onz about setting up xmas tree during christmans when he's usually so bochup normally.

decided to bake coz i got a whole lot of cake mix leftover from the last time I baked. so in bid to quickly finish using it, no choice but to bake. then bought some new ingredients for the cake also. Sad to say, lots of the baking ingredients come in huge packs so i can kinda foretell that i might have to buy more cake mix to finish using the ingredients....vicious cycle...never ending....doomed to bake forever!! ahhhh.

oh..by the way, it's walnut peach choc sponge.

pam's house is huge, 3 storey bungalow and her room is crazy. it looks like a fashion shop in far east plaza.. racks of bags, accessories hung in alfresco style with like more than 50 pairs of shoes lining the entrance of her room. lots of things everywhere but stylishly laid out. coz she's rich la..her racks and shelvings are so vintage and pretty and the 1st thing I could say when I stepped into her room was " can I take a look at the bag please?".. she's got like 100 over pcs of accessories hanging by the side of her princessy looking mirror.

back to the topic... potluck. Attending this potluck totally reaffirmed that naz's friends are too dysfunctional..i'm too organised to click with them. impossible.

Supposed to meet at 7pm at pam's house. but pam told them 5pm, knowing that everyone will be late. can u imagine. they're habitually latecomers. me and naz reached at 7.30pm and like no one was there yet. nvm.

pam was busy lighting candles in her room that she hasn't even started preparing the food. people started streaming in at 8plus and i thought we could quickly start dinner coz I was so hungry.

I almost wanted to scream when I saw them taking out RAW food e.g. crabs, chicken, cheese... everyone proceeded to the kitchen and STARTED preparing the food!!!!!! OMG! jeremy started making black pepper crabs, clara started mashing the oreos to make cheesecake, pam started STEWING drumsticks to make chicken stew. hellosssss... it's potluck, not YAN can cooK!

it was already 9.45pm when we could sit down and have our dinner. OMG

Inefficient people with no concept of time... i totally cannot tahan. These genre of people is one of my pet pet peeves...really. felt like making them sit down and educate them on punctuality, responsibility and the concept of potluck.

if you're my tomodachis, you definitely don't belong to this dysfunctional category. yay!

Yummy food.. and it was a great meet up since a long time. blur zhen actually gave me my bday prezzie instead of my xmas prezzie..hah..yep..she bought my bday gift like half a year in advance. thats so sweeeet...! it's alright gal... the wallet came in handy as I planned to change it soon.

had a crazy spread of food at zhe's place. we prepared ikea swedish meatballs, jiao zi, potato and vege salad, grape juice and ice cream.

played bridge till 1am before going home... oohh..and bridge is so so fun! addictive game.

Read about the egg attack incident on New Paper and it happens to report on some neighbour conflict in the same issue. Basically this fat auntie threw eggs at this china young lady who so called agitated her by accidentally spraying perfume in her direction. So…she hurled the bag of eggs she bought at her. Ended up in a CatEggFight.

While standard of living is going up like nobody’s biz, GST, carpark charges, petrol and ERP are escalating like mad, the auntie decided to waste her bag of precious eggs on venting her anger on and humiliating another human being. Sighz..what’s the world coming to… thought we’re a civilised society. Watched the episode on toa payoh HDB hub on youtube..this uncle kept scolding this angmoh and chinese lady, “EHH…you in singapore leh..!! I’m singaporean okay…you are in Singapore okay!..” this patriotic phrase has been repeated over and over again in various quarrel dramas. Are we really proud that we’re singaporeans? Or it’s just normal animal instinct to show territorialism?

I am very proud to be Singaporean I must say. Like furiously waving the singapore flag during NDP, singing the national day song with gusto and pride, sticking national flag around my work cubicle. This patriotism heightens whenever I return from holidays, making me appreciate where I live even more.

happily ever after does exist

experienced movie watching at AMK Hub last night.. first time since it's opening. Not my favourite place to hang out coz it's just so congested.... both vehicle traffic and human traffic is crazy. There was this once me, sharon and zhe met there for dinner and we ended up eating at a coffeeshop near the mall coz it was impossible to get any seats in any of the restaurants.

okay...digressed too far. yep. after much anticipation, finally got to watch Enchanted! highly recommended by my colleague... and it wasn't a disappointment. so happy..i'm the happiest when I get to watch a good, funny movie. Now I know why she was in love with the Chipmunk...he's so adorable!! if you watched it, you'll know what i mean.. The way he tried to expressed himself through re-enacting the intentions of the evil queen to posion the princess with the apple...it's so hilarious... animations are really amazing stuff.

Next up movie! The Chipmunks! Realised they're good for another thing also...alarm ringtone. I use the chipmunks ringtone as my alarm and their squeaky singing is really quite irritating.. you will not ignore the tone.

mum cooked chilli crabs and curry chicken yesterday upon the request of evil shit...and he ate till he LS...hahaha.. ate too much la.. or his stomach can't take so much chilli at one shot... everyone else feels alright. Though I really wished I LS....ate too much..need to have output to allow more input.

I have just set my new year resolution. I will go on a detox program..but only after christmas...hahaha.. you might think that I'm thin and everything but the truth is I have put on 3 KG after working in LTA. result of a deskbound job.. urghz. yep. detox is the way to go. Need the detox to eat more during CNY... part of the preparation process for CNY. ahem.

anyway, did i tell you i hate waiting for people? Do you know that I am capable of spending during the short span of 15min while waiting for friends who are late?!

Ivan was the culprit today. he was late!! for 15min! Was bored and it's friday night and it also happens to be the 2nd friday before ho ho ho Christmas, I was infected by the crowd of shoppers scattered everywhere in different shops. and guess what. I had 15 min.

strolled into BYSI not intending to buy anything. ya rite. quickly ran through some ugly dresses and tops... and just as I was about to walk out of the shop, I saw this dress calling out to me.... buy me...buy me.... come come take a look mochi san............ so minutes later, I was found whipping out my credit card, all waiting to make that lonely dress mine..haha. really like it alot! the color...material and cutting.... looks so nicely flowy, chic and casual. Just like all other shopping drama, the salesgirl came up to me at the perfect moment informing me of the 15% discount for the dress, reaffirming my decision to get it.

So there it is.

attended 6 thinking hats today and it is one of the more interesting courses I had attended so far. impressed at the trainer who is really witty and funny. pretty shocking and totally changed my opinion of female trainers.

more about the course, it was really enlightening to know how our brain can switch modes to adopting different thinking styles in different situations, learning how different thinking habits can yield so vastly different outcomes. Everyone has dominant thinking styles which we must be conscious of in order for us not to abuse it. interesting. Deduced that mine should be the red thinking hat which signifies that i'm more controlled by emotions. heh.

yep...most importantly I really welcome this change in routine. got to walk around abit in toa payoh though the rain seemed to be relentlessly trying to stop me from spending more money.

caught Serendipity on dvd... starring John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale. it's those feel good looomantik comedy.. easy watching for lazy pple like me. Never knew that Serendipity has a meaning.. thought it's just a nice name for the show.

So cool right..to put it simply, they're events that are blessings in disguise. Further to my post on counting only the goods, can we actually see all the ridiculously unfortunate things as a prequel to all the good stuff that has happened or that is going to happen to you?

Perhaps many experiences in life might cause hurt and pain. How you wished that they didn't happen at all, and why out of all people, you have to be the unfortunate one. But didn't most of these so called unhappy accidents make you grow up?

Ju Ju Hokkaido Hotpot....

rushed through my weekend..left me feeling sleep deprived and ... deprived of sleep. sleeping is the number 1 stress reliever... love n need it.


met up with ahmad and rest for maria's bday dinner...at Ju Ju Hokkaido Hotpot at Paradiz Centre basement beside Tao's Kitchen. ahmad's recommendation and it was good! abit pricey but it's worth for an occasional try. thought i was full but apparently when I saw the spread, the fullness vanished into mars. would give it thumbs up for the friendly service and the aesthetic beauty of the display of the food.. my lousy 2mp cameraphone didn't do the food justice. urgh.

~our seafood set... yummy. the crab was surprisingly easy to eat coz the shell is slightly soft so it's pretty easy to peel. ~

~our chicken set... anyway...4 of us went but we only ordered 3 steamboat sets.. their servings are huge so order 1 set less..esp if all girls~

genting was tiring. reached there at 5am and we can't check in yet and all we could do was wait. the only place that was open was the casino so no choice lo..as much as i didn't feel like it... i fell asleep at the digital roulette table while naz played the game. the whole day just went past and I didn't have an inkling of what really happened coz i was so so sleepY! i was like a walking zombie, asleep just that my eyes are open.

his uncle bought tix for the kitaro concert and i was glad it was sleeping time for me!! slept through the 1st 3 songs and only woke up when he played his famous pieces. it was lucky that I was totally drained out that I fell asleep immediately at 2am.... it was very lucky coz his uncle snored super loudly.. felt like i was listening to the sequel of the Kitaro concert..

anyway, conclusion of the trip.... tiring! somemore kena conned of SGD50 on jackpot and roulette. eeks. i hate the casino.

the xmas mood is really sinking in... i really feel like spending $$!! and i've already spent alot of $$ !! i hope UOB crashes tomorrow so that i won't have to pay my credit bills for the month....... no....no.....no....

I always am at a loss of words when ppl ask me general questions starting with "how"..
e.g. How you doing? How are you? How's work? ...

I would usually answer "errr..okay lor..fine...good... like that lor.." dun have anything much to add unless something drastic has happened.

so the same goes with "how's you and naz?" Apparently the lack of vocab n awkwardness get ppl to start guessing that something's wrong and probe. Nothing's wrong really. just that dun want to sound like i'm gushing or what. cool ma. lol.

yep...but babu's question got me thinking why I couldn't immediately list out just all the good stuff that happened in this new start of this familiar, comfortable relationship.

As my mind thought through how to answer babu, my lips uncontrollably wanted to blurt out all the little tiny trivial quibbles we had over stupid things... how he likes to leave his stuff on my room floor....how he forgets to message me when he's lan gaming.... how he is so atas and doesn't like the food in kopitiam..... so on n forth.

So just as I was taking my bath just now, I took that 10 mins to think of stuff which my evil shit did that I really appreciated.. amazingly and luckily, the list wasn't empty. haha.

1. I like how he shows his subtle support in events I organise or take part in.
He came to watch my netball match which lasted only 2o min at Jurong. I was surprised that he actually wanted to come coz i sincerely thot it wansn't worth the effort. I was secretly glad of coz. heh.
He came to vote for my booth when I was involved in the Public Service Exhibition. It was during lunch and he went out of the way to just drop by for a totaly of 10 min before he rushed back to office.

2. I like how he has been trying to learn hokkien and chinese so that he can communicate with my parents.
We dedicate the first 1-2 hours of each of our meeting to speaking only chinese.

3. I like how he spends a day helping me to clear up my junky computer and then packing it nicely by the side to make way for my laptop. I gave up watching him at work and started watching TVB.

4. I like how he patiently waits for me when I'm late by gaming at the arcade. ** errr... mochi...he's enjoying himself too...so no need to appreciate so muchz hor. -_- **


5. I like his patience in general. When you've got a dam impatient brother, you'll really appreciate this quality.

6. I like how he doesn't mind whiling his time in office while waiting for me to finish a meeting which wasn't even confirmed till the very last minute. It was 9.30pm when we met for dinner and we were supposed to meet at 7pm.

7. I like how he puts up with my pretty periodic PMSal mood. I know it when I'm feeling snappish and I know I show it. gomen ne! heh.

8. I like how he manages to calm the gan jiong-pessimistic spider down when handling unplanned changes and situations.

9. I like how he's willing to know my friends while I'm just too lazy to socialise with his.

10. I like how he can put up and still keeps a straight face with my indecisiveness when it comes to different colours, food, size, shapes, textures, designs, flavours.... the indecisiveness gets worse when I'm in a grumpy mood. oops.

11. I like how he is always so enthusiastic about the impromptu activities I suggest e.g. sudden craving for jogging, cycling at Pulau Ubin, swimming...
I'll regret after suggesting when I feel a sudden pang of laziness. Can't dampen the mood coz he's already all set to go...-_-

She had all her cards kept in tailor made plastic casings! yep..the casings were all DIY using the smouldering machine at home. and why would she have a smouldering machine?! coz her dad's a technician.. yep.. but yes..ALL the cards in her wallet are all super well protected...omg. so weird! haha

coincidentally met my super old friend at a course. she's my 1st friend in kindergarten, my best friend in PLMGPS, we got separated in secondary school and then met again in NJC. She went NTU and me went NUS. somehow virtual communication isn't as common as now..so we didn't keep in contact at all since JC. imagine meeting her again 10 years later.... totally grossed out at how time sped.

anyway, she's working in SPRING! with my current scope of job, we gotta liaise quite abit with them. that's why we were in the same course la. she still looks the same.

I was feeling grouchy and restless for the whole of saturday. So basically, I just wallowed at home till when I decided to spur sharon san on to go swimming. it was the only activity I did for the day and guess what. The 45min swim made me even grouchier....coz I dio a summon!!!! I had insisted on going hougang pool but sharon san complained hg pool very dirty la...very luan la...alot of pple la... blah blah blah la. Exceeded my half hour coupon by a marginal 10min lor.. so sian when I saw the 2 ah beng indian summon officers. Though I was glad the summon was only $6...haha.. but still... i could have eaten 2 bowls of noodles liao...or taken 3 days of train...bought a copy of cleo...5 cups of bubble tea.......................

so that was my grouchy saturday. didn't even felt like going out on sunday but already promised naz i'll go for his nephew's birthday bbq...when it started pouring like nobody's biz, I was even more sure that i wasn't supposed to go for the bbq.

talk so much.. i went ultimately coz naz came and pick me up...so no reason not to go liao. ha.
soon I found the trip was so worth it coz of dylan! the name dylan actually brings back some gross memories...but not this little dylan.

he had this particular way of singing twinkle twinkle little star which is so so kawaii....really brings laughter to the usual boring bbq.

Jay Jay....really missed the time when you were not popular. You were in canto pub and there were only at most 5 rows of fans near the stage. There was a huge space in between the tall stools and the stage...and guess where I was sitting? acting cool at the tall stools...

I truly regret what I've done. I should have taken the opportunity to get up close and personal with you....take loads of pics and then auction it off in yahoo or something. Somemore with your original curly hair, I'm sure alot of fans would buy lor.

what am i writing here ah.. saturday morning..supposed to be at a basketball match at toa payoh hub. Rejected the invitation last minute coz really needed the rest from the 2 activity-filled days in sentosa.. and basketball?! The netball team very onz so doesn't mind trying out for fun...so.

oh...and about my short getaway to sentosa spa and resort.. the spa botanica was really an indulgence. ! yup! very good...very fun...enjoyable...then....

Recent few days of couch potatoing was very fruitful. noticed this new singer called 叮当.. her 海豚音is crazy lor.. dunno reach how many octaves.

went ubin cycle yesterday and think got seriously sunburnt. skin at the shoulder part hurts and feels burnt. but really loved the challenges of the slopes and terrain at ubin... definitely much more fun than cycling at the human infested east coast.

been receiving feedback that I should remove the leaves of the strawberries on my cake next time. haha. think i got weird sense of beauty really... i don't think my cake looks that bad. thought the foresty style was nice... and I recall having to remove the leaves of the strawberries whenever i eat them in cakes...so does sharon san.. haha.. ehhhhh..but the choc sponge was nice k.... 内在美最重要.

has been some news about these 3 UK jerks who bullied this singaporean old trishaw uncle.refused to pay $10 after the ride and one of them even uploaded the video named "the slowest transport in the world".. totally disgraced themselves by uploading the video on youtube...kena bombarded by everyone. haha. stupid idiots la.

saw an article in the papers about "how KPE saved me 2 mins". looking at the title alone would make you assume that the article is going to be a negative one. read on...and it in fact detailed how 2 min a day will equal to 60min a month and then 12 hours a year.

If she really thinks KPE is a waste of time and money, she can be more consistant in her writing what. like put a title "Minimal time savings using KPE"...or something like that...rather than " how KPE saved me 2 mins"...like you go "waaaa..save time leh."..then you go "huh?! 2 mins??!" just her luck that she isn't one of those who benefits from using KPE. heh

haven't been blogging much coz really caught up at work. changing portfolio now so loads of handing overs and stuff....but manage to finish my 布衣神相..! it's such a nice show with an incredible cast! next up watching my dvds for 溏心风暴... ganbatte!

ohhh..tried this restaurant at Rochester Park "Graze"... the problem with these kind of restaurants is that food is supa ex, okay tasting only, but the ambience is good la. I also want to open this type of restaurants... charge expensive, serve atas looking but okay tasting food, provide nice ambience and still able to make pple come back to my restaurant... heh.

baked this bday cakey for naz's bday! prettily messy! haha.. but i must say the lady's fingers sucks..don't really like the taste of it...so next time i'll replace it with toasted almond flakes instead. heh. kiasu me bought double portions of all ingredients.. and my cake ended up bigger than expected! haha.. still got 750g of choc spongecake mix and a whole carton of whipping cream left..wondering what to do with it... ~ super improvised,lazier version of the recipe courtesy of happily baking mrs kuo.. ~

think will bake a choc sponge for my colleagues or something. really liked the taste of the cake...nice fluffy and chocolatey.. yum. actually you won't believe how much of the cake I ate... 2 spoonfuls! somehow stuff that i make i dun like to eat... hahahah. i offered some to zhe and sharon san and the rest naz brought home...

met up with zhe and sharon san at zhe's place for a supper feast...zhe made dumplings for us which was simply oishii with chilli oil and vinegar...and me and sharon san dabao chicken wings, osyter omelette and satay from chomp chomp....

Ate till we drop. This is life.

had a really fun but tiring weekend.

Joined naz’s colleagues at Bedok Reservoir for some Forest Adventure thingy. 25 bucks for a 3 hour obstacle course on the trees, climbing, balancing, tarzen swinging and tried out my 1st flying fox! 4 sites to complete and we get from site to site through a flying fox! So cool… flying across the surface of bedok reservoir…4 times somemore. Really worth the bucks. Had always missed OBS (outward bound Singapore) activities…loved the outdoors and behaving like monkeys once in awhile.

Sunday was crazy..dragged myself up at 5.45am and headed to office to help out for the charity walk @KPE. People streamed in way earlier than we thought and we had no time to set up our registration booths properly. Instead of trolleying the goodie bags, we had to lug the bags to the bus bay to give up to participants. Aching arms while typing this.
Amused myself by taking loads of pics at the tunnel....heh.

Met up with babu n ahmad at j8 for ktv session..without maria..again! maria..can you take care of yourself please. Onegaishimasu.

Cried for 1 hour watching Corner with Love before going to bed. Love the show leh… the dialogue is like so good and the chemistry between bigS and xiaozhu was amazing.

cartoon-ING

I just signed up for a cartooning course! Only 4 lessons organized by my company’s staff club..the cartoonist is from comixguru.. err..dunno what’s that also la. Anyway, it has always been my childhood dream to learn cartooning but never had the motivation to borrow books and self study.

Sometimes, I think I’ve made the wrong academic choices man. Should have studied like arts and graphic or something.. now so old liao then spend extra time and money learning macromedia flash, photoshop and then cartooning.

Erm.. then again, can’t dismiss the fact that interest is one thing and having a flair in your interest is another. So taking them as a recreational activity might not be so wrong afterall in my case.

Involved in the Kallang Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE) opening cum Charity Walk A Jog this sunday. It better be fun lor. Imagine having to drag my energy deprived body to office by 7.30am…on a supposed-to-be-lazy Sunday morning.. can’t imagine. The event will end only at 2-3pm..

i'm a macromedia flash expert now! haha.. ya..like real mochi san. I kowtow to all those animation professionals out there... animations is really way out of my league!!

the 2 days course proved that flash is just not my cup of tea.. haha. interesting la...but i've forgotten like 80% of what i've learnt.. -_-

besides the sucky tea breaks there.. imagine..pathetically puny gross siew mais (1 per pax only..not enuff to go round pls) and khong Guan plain crackers... for morning and noon tea respectively... how much worse can tea breaks get. sigh...

had dinner @ TCC.. both me n naz concluded that we really liked the food in TCC. I ordered the mushroom bites... which was dam oishii.. and some spice chicken thingy.. naz's seafood aglio olio wasn't too bad too. the shocker came when we ordered the cake... the guy asked if we wld like a scoop of icecream to go with the cake.. so we ordered since naz decided that I wasn't going to eat much of the choc cake plus it was only $1.50 and like who would mind a scoop of ice-cream..?!

.. and as we ate it..the taste started getting familiar... naz said it tasted like magnolia ice-cream.. i insisted that TCC wldnt serve magnolia.... and i was like dead sure. so we asked the waiter and yep. it wasn't magnolia.... but marigold. we were close la.ha.

TCC serves marigold ice-cream!! omg... just ruined my beautiful impression of them....sigh.. all good things come to an end...

but the service there is really good...smiley and prompt staff.. so guess i'll just have to get marigold out of my mind... I love TCC!

forgot to blog abt my trip to JB! yeah.. made our once in a blue moon pilgrimage to visit becca.. really nostalgic this kind of trips..reminds me of JC and Uni days when me and gang used to make trips across the causeway to drink 快可立...eat pizza and buy lots of what we shouldn't be buying. so fun.

it's more fun now since we've upgraded to travelling around in bec's car instead of haggling with the cabby over the cabfare...6 ringgit?? 5 ringgit can la. haha.

managed to dangle the carrot (dvds) infront of sharon san and she finally caved in and decided to move her butt to go too. hah. she really shld be more onz n less nua in general.together with zhen, naz and sharon san...was an eat shop eat shop trip.. lazified but enjoyable..

and becca broke the news to us...... she's getting married on 22nd Mar in KL! omg... can't help but really feel so old... late 20s...i'm almost there... yes i am.. sigh.

but before i wallow about how fast time goes by... congrats bec!!! feel really happy for ya and kirby... loking forward to attending your special day and meanwhile..hope you can find that perfect gown you're looking for!

evelyn mama's bb is so cute!! lezanne is just so kawaii! met up w eve for lunch at KK today..she brought lezanne for some check up.. and just couldn't get my eyes of the little pretty gal.. but had a hard time getting this shot with her coz she was feeling restless n sleepy....typical bbs la..

just realised my hair is cannot make it messy.. totally reflected the hectic day at work..at least 3 colleagues came by my cubicle to comment about my dishevelled hair... well, just as well to further bring out the cuteness of lezanne.. it's all for a good cause..heh.

dunno we pay the conservancy charges for what..the town council is so not doing their job.. the ceiling of my corridor has been leaking since last year and till now I'm still emailing them about it. waste my time... with my parents nagging in the background, i typed another email to them with much disgust and irritation at them and also just to shut my parents up. They've been nagging at me for not asking the Aedes Inspector to check on the leaking ceiling the other day. let me put it clearer... mosquito vs. leaking ceiling... tell me where's the connection. so I figured out a way it could be connected to mosquitoes...

If you could check your records, I've been calling/emailing the town council on several occasions since last year and beginning this year regarding the leaking of the ceiling at my corridor. I am surprised that I am still here typing this email almost a year later waiting patiently for your assistance on this matter.

Through the waiting and the recent rain, the leaking has become worse. I spoke to your officer a few times and he mentioned he has sent a guy to check but there was no followup after that. That was like at least 5 months ago??

Although I do agree that the leaking is not life threatening in any way, it looks unsightly and I do not know if it'll lead to environmental issues like breeding of mosquitoes.

Please do assist urgently as my dad couldn't believe that no action has been taken and thought that I haven't been doing my job by informing you on this matter.

I am very disappointed at the efficiency of the council. Please contact me at 96939515 if you have decided on any course of action to resolve the problem I've mentioned.

shopping is therapeutic

look at the weather.. it's like waving me towards the direction of the clinic, inducing me to get an mC n stay home to enjoy my day n be happy. i relented.

somehow feel like i must fully make use of my benefits as an employee. got MC..take lor..though it's not totally FOC but no reason to deprive myself of that craving to slack. my dad has been scolding me lazy for the whole morning, using all the possible phrases, languages n dialects he knew. yep.. and i remained silent throughout.. = consent. heh. anyway! i AM mc-ing for a reason also.. happens that the inspector for aedes mosquitoes are coming today in the afternoon and my dad wants me to stay home to welcome him. so yep. waiting right now.

watched chuck n larry yesterday and didn't really like it. it's like funny but not the type of humour i really like. quite idiotic,crude n sexual.. kirai yo. romantic witty humour is more for me.

looking towards a reorg of my division since my deputy director is leaving soon.. hope it'll bring a dash of freshness and revamp the culture of my division.. 2nd Oct..i'll have the updates then.. coming sooN!

I can't help but to give myself a pat on my own back for my material quest. but this fashion really got nice stuff once in a blue moon..so it's good to pop by once in a while.

then next week got wedding dinner to attend...another outflow.. dg's bday round the corner... gotta restock on my contacts lenses soon also.... and the list continues.

eeeks! removed my message board coz it had some spam sex messages!! eeeks...! how did it get there man!! gross.. oh yes..my yahoo account is infested with spam mails... can get like 100s of junk mails in a few days.. it's crazy.



anyway.. the main point was that i took the final step to escape from the clutches of the devil called procrastination.... finally blew up some pics i took in turkey and framed it up in the frames i bought from ikea.. been 3 months since my trip lo. long time eh.

~tada! should autograph my big name on the pics!...when i'm feeling poor...i shall aim to sell it to make ends meet.... hmm~

~went ubin for a cycling cum discovery channel nature trip..yep..got jason n nadia to go along.. and was pretty fun! saw hermit crabs..for the 1st time in my life.. s.k. rite. hah. got a nice tan and great workout.. the number of slopes we encountered were crazy...we take a deep breath and close our eyes and cycle with all our might. but me n nadia ended up pushing our bikes at some point. still...really love doing outdoor stuff like dat.we decided that we should do this more often! we had the emperor's noodles, recommended by zhen, before we left for home~

No reservations was such a touching show…loved the way they crafted the relationship between Catherine and the little girl..

Gotta take a break from all the typing and sending of emails.. if you want me to give you 1 word off hand now. I’ll spit out “Innovation!” without hesitation. Yep.. as an ambassador, I’ll have to say public service do emphasize a lot on promoting innovation and motivating staff to innovate to value add to the services we provide. The cause of my busy days… and also the reason why I’m gainfully employed at the moment.

Went gym alone during lunch today coz my colleagues suddenly felt lazy. Hoping not to sound too much like a health freak, exercising has become part of my life now. I do feel uneasy or lethargic if I haven’t been jogging.

A bit antisocial it may sound, but I do prefer to go gym alone. no need to wait for ppl, finish workout then go buy my lunch from tekka market.. snuggle at my workstation to eat my vegetarian beehoon. Listen to my mp3. Really enjoyable…rather than squeezing with the crowd at kopitiams or dining at some fancy place.

One of my colleague asked me if I’m going lunch, I told her outright that I’m going gym. Though she’s lunching alone, but I made no offer to skip my gym and go with her. Was just thinking that if it was me say few years ago, I would have obliged her coz paiseh. Nowadays I can’t really be bothered.. I do what makes me happy! Happy-ING! Applying what mayday taught me. Heh.

Meeting dg tonight!! He was in Perth for his grad ceremony for a week…went to fetch him from the airport and only when I saw him, I knew that I really missed him so much. Musssshy! But yes.. I did.. ^_^

The choc dg got for moi.. so sweeeet! He said it was from a choc factory they visited… wondering how long I can keep it.. too pretty to devour it. But also curious as to whether it taste as good as it looks!

i felt the earth move...

I felt the tremors of the quake! omg! yes..suaku me speaking. was makaning at bugis coffeeshop when i felt like i was floating and giddy. i thought it was the lime juice which i was drinking. and just as i was bloggin about motion sickness in my last post... yep..for a person who has a GREAT sense of balance.. this tremor really did it. i was motion sick.

saw the news and was recorded a 7.9 scale earthquake in West Sumatra... 7.9! can imagine the damage... can't help but always feel lucky that I live in Singapore.

and i bumped into an old St Nicks classmate..Wee May! haha.. i was at the prudential booth coz naz wanted to look for his agent... and Wee May happened to be working as an agent as well.. caught up for awhile and off she was selling her products to other customers.. she still looks very much the same except she's became prettier and super talkative now! yep..she used to be so timid, shy n quiet...ahmad, babu n maria would know la.

The world is just too small.

Anyway, just busted my bling blings on mooncakes!! Bought a box for my grandma and naz’s family.. hopefully it’s nice! The hotels came our company to promote mooncakes...20% discount ne..but didn’t buy the goodwood park D24 durian snow skin one coz can only keep for 3days! So…

Had a relief kickboxing instructor yesterday..and he’s so super funny. Comedian la him. His looks remind me of those malay dramas, the bad guys with floppy oily hair on riding a scrambler and with a parang in his hand…ready to biah water.

He was more like doing cheerleading than KB.. doing war-cries at the top of his lungs as he executes each boxing move. You know those sound effects you hear from boxers. Can’t believe we all got influenced by his goading and I actually did a “wa.oah!” pretty loudly. I was stunned.

Then, he imitated our girly moves when we were boxing and it was just hilarious. exaggerated is his middle name!

I was laughing through out the whole session and it was nice for a change. But can’t imagine having him as my instructor coz can imagine his jokes will more or less become stale.He made us kick so much that I nearly suffered from a leg cramp lor..

Still prefer my female instructor.. Juliana.. please come back next week!

the truth about motion sickness

people who suffers from motion sickness are those who have a good sense of balance..or equilibrium.

can't remember where I heard from..either radio or tv. but find it quite true! I do think i have a good sense of balance. hardly need to stand near railings or hold onto railings in trains... and i can stand on 1 leg without much prob...able to walk on narrow beams without swaying about too drastically.....

yep..i suffer from bad motion sickness...seasick is the worst motion sickness for me..then comes airsickness... bus n car not so..unless i take my auntie's car...she jerks way too much..



been a busy week as usual..praying for the weekend to come..went prawning on sunday again.. ha.. actually enjoying it..really takes some skill n practise.. but still found it too cruel to eat those prawns I fished..soI shall just eat the prawns my mum buys.

stole my bro's die hard4 dvd to watch..been hearing all the talk about how hard it was for bruce to die..how the film should be renamed as "really very hard to die4". despite all the jokes, everyone agreed that the action bit was commendable... so i've been wanting to watch in the movies but whole world seemed to have watched it.! sigh.

so me n naz were basically potatoes for the day. bought donuts..yes..yes..our rolling companions in shopping malls, neighbourhoods... dOnuts are like everywhere.. it's hard to find people walking around without a donut box.! okay la..abit kua zhang but u get my point. they ARE everywhere.

The ones we bought were from a new shop outside hougang mall...everyone is taking the chance to ride on the donut fad. The quality of the donuts was pretty good...even better than donut factory! abit denser and texture finer... exactly how i like it! yummy.

oohh... digressed too much. yep..we bought donuts.. chilli tapicoca chips..and all these were on top of the pepper lunch we had.

to top it all...die hard was good!! i regret to say that i haven't watched a single die hard movie before... think i'll prob try to rent it or smthg. heh. the famous scene where the car flew towards bruce but was cushioned by 2 cars which were so strategically positioned, missing bruce by a hairline.... woah...am impressed.and we rewinded that part like 3 times and watched with our mouths gaped in awe.. waaaaa. thumbs up.

really enjoying just nua-ing at home catching my tvb serials.. eat, sleep, watch tv... and i can foresee sunday will be spent in a similar way.. happy-ING.

we are the champs..

beginning to like my work environment a little more.. love the accessibility of my workplace.. abit more familiar with my job scope so less blur...know more pple so easier to chase for stuff... i like how i can prioritise my work... it's crazy but i do like the writing part of my job...

beginning to like this phase of my life more.. might be the company i'm enjoying.. my group of gal frens... some newfound friends....my bf... the interaction with my family....my kickboxing lessons... my tv shows...

aiya..enuff of these sniff sniff emo crap mochi! brrrr.

Just back from my group's annual bowling tournament! and my team was the champ!! yoohhooo..haha.. i bowled extremely well today...keke. dunno why..considering i'm supposed to be sick with blocked nose, blocked ears.... okay la..the credit goes to this guy in my team who strike almost all the way... heh. fun fun event la..

dinner was arranged at the Gayathri Restaurant.... and there was just too much food leftover...not that it wasn't nice..but we over ordered.. my colleagues dabao like 2 big plastic bags worth of food home... btw..the food was great and the amount i ate was way too much for someone who's sick..urgh.

diet...diet.. is my daily resolution which never came true.

the truth about advertising....crazy people..

attended a course yesterday and the trainer played this 1990 movie by the late dudley moore called "Crazy People"...it's a satire about the advertising world and it's hilarious.. real good. think i'll go rent the movie or something..only managed to find a short clip on youtube...



wondering if i would be well enuff to go D & D later..nose totally blocked and don't think can smell durians even if you dangle them in front of me.

watched 1408 yesterday....and it's like so crappy. it's one of those movies which we watch, leave the theatre with 0 urge to discuss about it. disappointed la..the trailers look so exciting.well...the trailers already showed about all the best parts of the movie liao.

work is not your life...

went to visit zhe yesterday.. hurts to see my good friend in so much pain. she looks so tired but the pain stopped her from getting her well deserved rest.

you'll get well k...like what i smsed her... it might be mentally and physically challenging for you right now... but just tell yourself it's your body telling you that it's time for you to take a rest.. dun worry about school...you can even consider quitting school and take a break for a while...and request to transfer to office based posts.

can't imagine that she went to school and taught as per normal despite a high fever and her condition! been a teacher and know how physically draining it is... so it's more unimaginable for me.

just bought a mini radio for her to bring along in our next visit so hopefully she won't feel so bored and out of touch..

stomach hasn't been feeling good.. can't put a finger to what exactly is the prob. whenever my stomach is digesting food after a meal, it'll make super lot of noise...the same kind of growling that happens when you're feeling hungry. then will be a series of burpings... just like a baby.. dam gross.

my colleague asked me if i was hungry...just half an hour after my lunch coz she heard the ridiculous noise coming from my stomach. the world's crazy..so is my stomach...a little riot going on. hate it!

was on course today..so really dreadful when i think of going back to clear my emails tomorrow. lemme scream in advance....ahhhhhhh.

meetin at 9.30am tomorrow...ordered old chang kee for my members as snack.. hehe...more like to satisfy my cravings la. dun waste the $2 per head snack allowance for meeting.

then 2pm...meeting again. .

Food story 1: Gayathri Restaurant @ Little India.
Had planned to go gyming in the afternoon but last minute we arranged a farewell lunch for my manager.. just within the IE team aka. Innovation Excellence Team. So there goes my resolution to gym. Had $10 fish head curry at Gayathri Race Course Rd..just near my office. Food was good…better than the banana leaf which also serves similar dishes. $10 promo is only for every Wed Lunch…we had chicken masala, fish cutlet, mutton, and veggie..

Food Story 2: Pepper Lunch @ Dhoby Exchange
So.. for dinner… Naz was betting that I’d not be able to stomach pepperlunch for dinner but I told him for the kuromitsu ice-cream I’d be there. Haha…recommended by babu… and it’s really oishii!! It’s soft ice-cream with gula melaka topping…thumbs up. Slurpz. The macha and sesame ones are not bad too. Loved my chicken pepper rice though I offered naz like half of my food coz I was really stuffed from lunch. In return, naz donated all his bean sprouts to me.. I love greens.

One down side is that it’s pretty pricey for fast food and the quality of food isn’t fantastic also for the price we pay. Naz complained that the steak was tough and his set was like $15. but I find my chicken pepper pretty tasty.. so no comments.

Food Story 3: Sun with Moon Japanese Fusion Restaurant @ Central, Clarke Quay
So my eating continues… dam. Went to Sun with Moon today for a colleague’s bday lunch. Their main courses are pretty ex and not very nice also.. but the desserts are good.. thumbs up. Presentation or taste wise…ichiban yo. A glimpse of a few pics of the desserts….

~their signature tofu cheesecake..texture was great and taste was thumbs up too...~

Besides the mediocre main courses, the service quality of the staff also CMI.. they’re not like rude or anything, they’re actually very polite. But they’re just abit weird in their way of doing things and causes us a lot of inconvenience. Somemore we noticed that most of their service staff are not Singaporeans so we’ve got problem understanding their language and their puzzling reactions to our requests.

fireworks 2007

couldn't help but exclaim throughout the fireworks display.. with very limited vocab.. " waa...so pretty...so pretty..." x100.

everyone should go watch the fireworks since that's what our taxes went into. could almost see $$ sign flying around in the dark night sky. was so busy watching that i forgot to take a few pics of the display..

fireworks were pretty..our seats were good..high enough to have a panoramic view of the display.. despite having to climb 58 steps to get to our seats, it was all worth it.

however, happiness was shortlived when we saw the crowd during dispersal....
forgot how we manage to get out of the human jam.

spent the rest of the night at this club called "sahara" at boat quay.. naz's sis n friends wanted to try seesha so we tagged along.. din try it though..i'm not curious when it comes to anything foreign (besides oxygen) that i'll need to inhale and then exhale.

hung out till 2 plus..omg. forgot when was the last time i went clubbing even.

one of those few times that i took the night rider home too. i promise it will still be one of the few times..

we need more love in this world..

was pacing around orchard control while waiting for shan.. was on my hp, trying to call babu as our line got cut off earlier.

then i heard somemore shouting out loud " hello... hello... someone please..." repeatedly for a few minutes.. it was evening and the station was crowded.. but no one responded. including myself.


My view of the man was blocked by a pillar and as I walked to get a clearer view, i had a little shock. He was a blind man tapping his stick anxiously with his cries, hoping for someone to step forward.

I was on the phone and didn't want the conversation to be interrupted and just ignored. yes i did. in my mind I was thinking if it would take up alot of time if i were to guide him to the place he wanted.. or how to respond to his request if i'm not able to help. thoughts ran through my mind like sekali he's a bad guy or what (WTH, you watching HK drama ah!?!) .

on the other hand, i made out the logic that sooner or later, someone would help him one la. and sure enough, i saw a lady leading him up the escalator the next moment. my guilt pang eased abit.

how presumptuous human beings are.. always waiting for each other to make the 1st move. and not that I'm relieved that i wasn't the only one who held back at giving him assistance, but we do need to assume less and be less self centred.

I'm always the 1st to give up my seat to the more needy people on trains and buses... thought I'm fantastic already. hah.

there's always room for improvement mochi. ganbatte ne.
