Simply irritating

Never understood why some people can be that uncivilised.

Donned in their elaborate ethnic costumes, they blast songs in their mother tongue from their mobiles. I was cooling down from my jog and was at the exercise corner trying to tone my flabby arms.

2 of them started behaving like monkeys, climbing onto and stood on the SEATS of the pull up station. I was totally pissed as the other 5 of them watched on, goaded them on and laughed at their monkeyfied stunts.

I walked over purposely and they left to perform another circus act at another station. As I sat on the seat which that monkey trampled on, she looked at me and I didn't hesitate to throw her a disgusted stare. I thought she looked guilty. She better.

It was lucky that I didn't let this bunch of monkeys distract me from completing my routine.

And they looked like they were almost 30. I simply couldn't connect such behaviour to their age.

Pancakes brekkie

Haven't cooked for ES for some time. And since he wasted a few drops of perspiration fixing my new speakers and installing some software for my comp, he shall be bestowed brekkie meant for the royals.

Made an all american fluffy pancake breakfast set with totally mochi style hotdogs and scrambled eggs. He loved it though I was too sweaty and tired after the cooking to enjoy the food, which is always the case. haha. Anyway, he liked the fluffiness of the pancakes. Tips: Do not overmix the cake mixture to prevent tough cakes. Just stir it till the big lumps of flour are gone. A little lumpy texture is normal to make good pancakes!

Recipe for pancakes: Auntie Jemina from NTUC!! hahaha. easy bitsy.

Chicken Hotdogs: Chopped into pieces and lightly pan-fried. Wanted to serve it whole but it looked too huge and daunting on the breakfast plate.

Scrambled eggs: Beat 2 eggs with quarter cup milk or slightly more. add a bit of salt. Pan fry.

~ ES loved the scrambled eggs. Simple but delicious.~

The Pasta Cafe - Ngee Ann City

Celebrated ES for getting a job! most importantly, something which he likes. That's fortunate in times like these. Well, he waited like almost 3 mths so it's worth the wait? Fingers xx.

Popped by Taka to get something for little Sean Jens...Becca's darling little man u supporter, for his 1st month bb shower this weekend.

~ his smile is angelic!!~

~for the happiness of his parents...~

More pics when I finally meet sean!

Anyways, dined at The Pasta Cafe. We got the early bird promotion as we were there before 7pm. Order 2 main courses and get a starter free. not bad. Spent $38 in all.
~ ES ordered their signature slipper lobster pasta. That's my usual order but I decided to try something different. I still love the tomato cream base sauce. tangy and saucy.~

~ Our mussels in tomato stew. ES loved this though he's usually quite particular about mussels. I find it okay, not a mussel fan~

~ordered this Al dente mushroom, chicken sausage pasta with chilli flakes.Meant to be my dish but ES ate most of it as he liked it better. I walloped the slipper lobster pasta instead.~
I'll be back to try the other interesting pasta..e.g anchovy with spinach pasta... I'll try when I feel adventurous...not likely though.

my new hairdo

As per chean's request, nothing fantastic and it looks abit more messy than in the pic now after a few washes. haha. But it's really easy to maintain. I just need to experiment with a few scrunches for a more stylo look.

~talking to ES and at the same time trying to MMS him this pic to show him my hair. He screamed quite loudly over the phone. hahaha.Well, he's one of those typical guys who likes long luscious hair but it's my hair so I shall decide. weather is HOT k.~

tampines1 incident

Call me bias but I would rather believe this incident happened in m'sia, or it's more believeable if it happened across the causeway.

The whole of tampines1 had a temporary cut in water supply for like an hour or so. Yep. the new crowded mall at tampines. 3rd mall in the same area. are they crazy or what. pls build a mall in serangoon or something..tampines is too crowded!c.r.o.w.d.e.d.

The whole salon of chemicaled heads waited forever for the water supply to resume. or it seemed like forever. the mall sent some staff to trolley like 50 bottles of ice mountain mineral water for rinsing and washing of hair. That's like such a waste and really a once in a lifetime experience. It was even chaotic at one point in time where maybe almost all customers needed the rinse all at the same time.

Everything was wrong la like how zhe puts it. It was new mall=more customers, weekend=more people, chemical services were going at 49% off due to a promotion which means they need more staff but they didn't , plus the sudden cut in water supply = chaos.

Me and sharon san spent our whole noon there...nearly whole evening. to be exact, we sat in the salon from 1pm - 7.30pm. sharon san took even longer. 8pm I think.

The only thing lucky about this whole tamp1 incident is that our butts were still intact despite the long hours.

We ended off the long day with a satisfying meal at Seoul Garden minus sharon san's gastric after the meal. Ya. we were starving.

Feedback to Addy Lee about the terrible waiting time and that they accepted too many appointments than they could handle. Coincidentally murphy came so I just had to complain! He just said sorry sorry sorry and immediately whipped out 2 tubes of trial hair gel or hair treatment to appease me. I told him flatly that I dun want it and I didn't feedback coz of the freebies. He tried to distract me by telling me how good the gel is and that he gave it out to every customer. pui.

Having said that, I still like kason's cut. but really, point is, dun promise more than you can deliver. Recruit more staff before accepting more appointments! I really pity the people working there as they were really up to their necks with the number of heads waiting for them. There was virtually no customer service to talk about as well. The cream or gel were left on our locks longer than it should have been. Thanks.

BUT I love my crop. Feel dam cool. literally.

Sleep talking

I should be sleeping now but my rolly polly stomach, totally stretched from the maggi mee, cake and milk, refused to tuck into bed.
Worked super late today but wasn't too bad as my colleague was with me mugging thru the report. Having a companion helps. Seriously. At least I don't feel so pathetic and lonely. Even if that person doesn't do anything, the mere presence is powerful enough to rid that self-pity I tend to shower upon myself.

A real funny but super apt pic I used in my slides for a presentation. It's really how we make sense of what we do and who we are. I love me!

人之初性本善

People can change. And there's a cause for celebration if it's for the better.

I witnessed the change and it's really a BIG difference. Big could still be an understatement. Phenomenal? Yep. Phenomenal difference.

From bitter, serious, snide, antagonistic, confrontational, arrogant, to someone as nice as me who loves peace and harmony.

I do not believe in a tooth for a tooth which creates a vicious cycle of neverending vengence. You don't have to pretend. Instead, hold your own umbrella and interact with them as you would to any aquaintance. Be cordial and amicable and they will soften their defence. Probably not immediately but definitely with time.

The power of love can change people. Like DUH. HK dramas and movies tell you great stories of how the power of love can turn a gu wa zai into a guai guai zai.

Used to be skeptical at the phrase 人之初性本善 but I'm beginning to find some truth in it now.

Whatever. I'm happy as a lark.
