re-energised mochi

it's saturday! glad to see that zhe san looks good and cheery now coz she's feeling better! we met up for dinner at Food Republic Wisma.. the food there is really not bad.. I had my fave sinful prata with teh tarik. heh.

Did some shopping at taka where sharon san bought herself a burberry's wallet! woohooo. surprisingly I managed to stay purchase-free. kudos!

Feel pretty re-energised now.. a very rare physical state I'm experiencing. haha.

gonna catch a couple of survivor's law and meet babu and gang laterz..

It's mid week!! woohoOooo!

What I did last weekend

haha. check out my new page design!! totally pleased with myself for making my blog more nihon! The flowers looked like from those nihon no gift wrapper ne! sorry penguins.

spent a leisurely 2 days...basically couching potato thru out my weekend. some stuff I did:

• watched 10 episodes of 律政新人王2
• ironed 2 baskets of clothes
• went for kickboxing class which started today
• sorted out 650 pics taken this year which i intend to develop...did some maths and it amount to about 200 bucks if each pic cost about 30cents. gotta spend more time filtering!! I'm old fashioned and prefer my pics in hard copies.. in a form which I can feel and flip thru whenever I want to see. The prob with digital camera is the convenience of being able to capture anything, anyone and in limitless quantity. irony isn't it.
• Repeatedly listening to mayday CD.
• Checking facebook
• Skipped my facial coz I feel totally nua.
• Chatting with poor sharon san who is sick and only has enough strength to call mochi san..the only hobby she can manage.
• missing ES who went KL... totally scrimped on his smses! he's back..going to "talk" to him later..
• enjoying some time to myself and with my family..just lazing around at home in the rainy weather. updating each other with our lives when we bump into each other in the kitchen near the fridge.

I want to buy jason mraz's new version of his album that comes with a dvd of his live performance. Sigh. really hate when artistes come out with different versions of their CDs!!

Nan Xiang Restaurant - Bugis Junction

celebrated a colleague's birthday at Nan2 Xiang2 shanghai restaurant. It is located at Bugis Junction level 2 where MOF and NYDC is. What I can say is pretty authentic shanghainese food but quite ex and they're are really stingy on the portion. 5 of us bought snacks after the meal as we were still hungry despite the number of dishes we ordered. good to go if you're not very hungry. but on the other hand, if you're not hungry, you won't want to spend so much on a meal. so. ....

~ rice cake.. i like the sticky texture.~

~ 5 of us gotta share the 2 pumpkin thingy.. nice also.reminds me of hum chee peng.~

~ crab roe xiao long bao... yummy..~

~ vege fried rice. portion good for only 1 pax!! and it cost like 8 bucks. we each had 2 spoonfuls~

~ one of my fave dish..salted egg yolk prawns.. think ES will love this dish! thinkin of trying out at home..seems pretty simple coz salted egg yolk is already tasty in itself~

~drunken chicken... okay la..not alcohol fan.~

~ cashew nuts pastry.. i din try this but heard from ann that it doesn't taste like cashew.~

gonna start my kickboxing class tomorrow! looking forward. heeee ha!

my fave song so far is still Ni bu shi zhen zheng de kuai le..the intro portion really makes me wanna wave my hands in the air... just like watching their concert! Xiao Wang Ge is a happy song that makes me happy! I love happy songs! Oh my GOd is really a fun song.. not in a poetic mood for chim songs recently. been connecting better with songs which potray more straight forward moods or feeelings.. easy listening. Brain doesn't seem to like working too hard. so...here's xiao wang ge!

Korean food - Mario Kitchen @ Liang Seah St

had lunch at good ole mario kitchen today. matt had a sudden craving so drove us all there to pig out. we ordered too much food for 6 pax coz their portions are pretty generous. love the korean food and the side dishes especially...the ikan bilis is sedap! love how the korean lady boss freely top up our side dishes.. quality is good for the price. It is located at Liang Seah Street opposite bugis junction.

~fried rice cake.. dun belittle this dish.besides rice cake, there are chicken pieces and sweet potato cubes too! interesting and quite filling..~

~the ginseng chicken is yummy too..i'm a soup person..so. heh. some people find it too bland..but it taste very healthy to me so didn't really matter.~

4 Nov 2008 - Babu's finally ROM-ed!

i think my posts might get shorter and shorter. might end up becoming just a one liner. haha.
too much work. no wonder japanese has this phrase for people who die from overworking.. called　かろし.. karoshi. Think it's happening now in Singapore too. or was it always existant?

anyways, it was babu's big day yesterday. 1st big day - ROM. so happy for her that 7 years of relationship with Mr Koh finally bore some fruit.. - marriage cert! it's not easy to maintain a r/s and it takes alot of giving and taking, understanding and a great amount of tolerance and acceptance. Love is actually accepting someone for who they really are. I am still learning to do that.. amazing how long it can take. @$#^$&. and am happy for my friend that she has found that special someone whom she's prepared to spend the rest of her life with.

Abit of a wet blanket but I am going to do my work now. Leaving you with some pics to relish that special day.

It's here! My music food for the year is here. Great way to end 2008... speaking of which..2 more months to end of year!..omg.. time flies.

Savouring each and every track now.. will do a music review soon once i'm done!

Left 1 day of the weekend..next week will be a crazy week again.
