a sleepy week for me.. still feel kinda disoriented now. hopefully things will get better.

attended a company dinner last night and the food was ichiban ne. hyatt hotel 5th level poolside BBQ. of coz it was the chef doing the BBQing la..we're just in charge of eating. heh.. yummy. sneaked out halfway to meet alf for fantastic 4.. luckily could still make it for the movie lor..if not super paiseh coz the dinner was so last minute and as a newbie, we've got not much choice la. somehow.

going to catch ocean's 13 later! hope it's good. didn't like ocean's 12.

happy to back coz i totally miss singapore's food. so so SUPER DUPER miss. abit exaggerated maybe but turkish food is REALLY not my cup tea, nor coffee, nor coke, nor milkshake.... and the list goes on.

suffering from abit of adjustment problems here..busy adjusting back to the super oishii food, my super comfy bed and super exciting drama serials. as what sharon san said, she's really a true and true traveller unlike me. oh wait, i'm not even fit to be named anything close to a traveller. i admit i'm a tourist. heh

ssshhh..don't tell other people ah... i'm starting work tomorrow le! seems like been a long time. haha.

drenched me talking

was greeted by the heavy downpour when I left my house this morning. i emphasize ..HEAVY.
I had a brolly but didn't seem to help a bit. wore a skirt but my skirt was totally drenched. TOTALLY. my nicely combed hair flew around in chaos. I wouldn't have grumbled if I was in my casual attire.. but i was in work clothes. My covered shoes accumulated enough water for a few fishes. eeeks. squeaked around in them for like half a day.


must have been going in and out of aircon after being drenched in the rain. almost froze in the clinic where i had to take my pre-employment checkup. met up with babu and maria for cheap ramen in Far East.. 5th level! really quite nice for the price..$4! and a water chestnut drink was only 50 cents! cool huh. will head back there again.


took a quick nap and felt better after downing panadol.. i cannot get sick now lo. my trip is at stake! heh. packed abit here and there and quite kiasu to actually buy prunes there coz like 99% chance i get constipation when I'm on holidays. My brains simply can't function with too much waste in my body. so there you are.. pitted prunes from sunsweet. was even thinking of getting some packet prune juice also. if i can find la.


hmm.. might manage 1 last blog entry tomorrow before i leave.. *mochi says: are you trying to secure a guiness record or what..?!*

i find guys who are passionate about whatever they're doing very attractive. whether it's everyday in their profession, or just spending a couple of minutes changing a light bulb, playing his drums/guitar/piano with absolute confidence... strictly for drums/guitar/piano coz they're my fave instruments, i don't find a guy playing angklung or erhu very attractive, regardless how serious they are.

saw my 认真帅哥 dentist just now...Dr Foong. I actually bothered to go and dig out his namecard to check his name today. For like 20 years i've never addressed him whenever I see him. Always too attracted by his masked up face to remember to do anything. Today, I took the opportunity to address him proper. Never knows, touch wood la.. Life is short, we should do whatever we feel like doing now. Procrastination might lead to regrets later. Dr Foong, Dr Foong!

He's got white hair now but he still sounds very young with his laidback way of speaking. so friendly yet every part of him oozes the word confidence. I'm in love with him! haha. but so sad that i have to greet him with cavities, chipped tooth, if not, chipped fillings. spent a whooping $60 today.

he told me that everyone has got different types of bacteria in our mouth. it's just too bad that the bacteria in my mouth breeds more chances for decay and my saliva doesn't produce enough good bacteria to combat this. sighz. what a sad toothless life I have. For Dr Foong, i've decided to try extra hard to keep bacteria from attacking my teeth. i'm going to buy mouthwash and dental floss now!!

came across this 复活MV sang by 林宇中 & 金沙。。。。。and I wonder what 洪 俊杨 is doing inside the MV. he's just an extra! a.k.a removing him would make 0 difference to the MV. maybe he's yuzhong's friend? trying to gain publicity through him? sad that he's not really eye candy, if not i wouldn't really mind. like if they put 金城武 or something it would have been really welcomed. heh.. 同人不同命啦。

anyway, the MV really sucks.. lousy and come to think of it, wasted to put 金城武 in it also.


LTA just called and they told me one of the perks working with them is that i'll get $100 worth of MRT and bus rides each month through scanning my staff pass with will act as my ezylink also. not bad huh..heh..can save on my transport!

can't believe my arm is still aching from badminton 2 days ago! haiz..deki nai yo. i can jog like nobody's biz but my arms are so bloody weak.. hmm..not surprising la since flexed arm was my worse item during NAPFA. itai itai...

well! mochi's going to be gainfully employed soon!!! i'm happy-ING. though it's been just a short break of 3 weeks...but without bling bling is akin to living a life on just window shopping and 3 weeks seemed like 3 months man.

i rejected HSBC's job offer to take up this LTA one.. Corporate Development Executive. title sounds nice hor but i think it's basically bao ga liao type of job. haha. okay, but the way they described sounds good to me la..so i'll only get the full gist of it only when i'm IN it. so that i'll keep everyone posted!heh.

when i called HSBC, the HR gal was shocked and kept probing why I didn't want to take up their offer. she kept saying she's very sad... i felt super awkward when trying to give her the reasons why. she's a very nice person and i think she's sad coz she's gotta go through new rounds of interviews again. gomen.! 人不为己 ma..

mochi is going to strive hard to recreate a non-job-hopper image from this job onwards..yes..mochi will succeed.

one of my favourites coz it made me cried the most. A sypnopsis of the show for those who hasn't watched it before and oh, it's based on a true story.

15 year old Ikeuchi Aya lives humbly as an ordinary girl with her family owning a small tofu shop. However, she finds herself falling easily and at times, she would just freeze on the spot even though she knows she got to for e.g. dodge a ball that's coming her direction. She's suffering from an incurable disease known as Spinocerebellar Degeneration, a cruel disease of the degeneration of the neurons in the brain, which when full blown, will cause her to lose her ability to talk, walk, write and eat. It's doubly cruel as this disease does not affect her mentally, meaning she lives her days knowing fully what's going to become of her. She passed away at the age of 25, making a great impact on the numerous lives of people who had similar illnesses, with all the diaries she wrote about how she battled with this horrible illness.

this episode is about aya, upon knowing that it's impossible for her to study in a mainstream school anymore, making the most difficult decision to go into a special school instead, away from all her friends and dream school.

loved the part where her class dashed out to the school gate to see Aya off singing this song 3 gatsu 9ka - meaning 3月9日, a song which they performed before where Aya was their conductor for that performance. sad....sad...sad.

please check out this guy called Asou Haruto.. he's so cool and chose to be with aya although he knows aya is down with this illness. is there such a person in real life not...sigh.

pattern more than badminton

met junyi san to play badminton today. finally. haha. we thought we could only get to play during the year of the beijing olympics lo. the sports complex's courts are super difficult to book. it's usually full during weekends...ALL slots from i think 8am onwards to 10pm i think. could get this slot last minute coz happened that someone cancelled their booking.

sighz...i would have loved to play on a leisurely weekday afternoon but if it was to come true, it would be a lonely mochi playing badminton alone. 寂しね

wonder when my job hunting will come to an end. come to think of it, i've been job searching since april leh..when i've decided that i'm going to tender. now it's 六月天already!

tummy ache tummy ache! tried to snuggle into bed but just couldn't..the gnawing pain really irrritated me. been cramping up after i had my mos burger meal just now with shan.

not that it's any of the above mentioned parties fault. i just have too much time to burn anyways.. didn't really mind the waiting just that i wished i had the okane to go retail therapy! would have made my waiting more enjoyable, and less tortourous.

had 3rd round of interview today..or rather a gruelling 2 hours of test-taking. those pre-set psychomatric tests to test your general comprehension, numeric skills etc..tedious..i'd rather they give me an A maths paper.

the HR gal was quite nice and friendly.. duh.if not how to be HR.

remember my turkey trip? yep..it's been pending for some time so thought i'll better make a call and check. as i've guessed, there wasn't enough people to make up the tour and it's cancelled! ばかね! then they didn't even bother to call us earlier. so went to check up a few other agencies and decided on the SA 10 days turkey tour. it's a confirmed tour so i gotta go down and make the necc payments.



dynasty say they can only refund the deposit into our credit card accounts in 3 weeks time! 遅い。。。。if request by cheque, they'll have to charge us another 2% since they absorbed the credit card service charge when they 1st charged to our card. wth. sian. what crap, anyway, lazy to argue with her coz it seems like other agencies are going to increase the tour prices very soon once they reach a certain quota..so must act fast.



doesn't help that sharon san is in korea now so.. spent a bomb on smses getting some details from her and blah. lucky for her that her tomodachi here is a indefinite retiree now so can afford to settle this kind of mundane stuff.ha. blessing in disguise?!



yep....* drum rollz* the best part of my suay strick.. i spoilt sharon san's phone. ya..her nokia 5700.. ask me why am i holding her phone. yep. coz she needed a 3G phone to go korea..so she exchanged with me. and i dropped her phone while i was clumsily getting out of my car today. always thought that nokia phones quite hardy one leh.. but apparently this drop really quite fatal. the screen went off..no display though i could still answer calls and press numbers. except i can't see no shit.



haiz..so went down nokia to service the phone..lucky no warrenty but still can service..but must produce warrenty when collecting la. though i smsed sharon san like 10 times today but didn't tell her anything about it.haha. give her surprise! haha



so this marks the end of a day of an unlucky mochi.

Noon: watch tv all the way...-> sleep if i feel tired from watching tv -> surf net -> eat when i feel hungry

Evening: Jogging -> eat dinner -> watch tv -> surf net -> watch tv -> surf net -> sleep.

been jogging almost everyday and am truly proud of myself! one of my resolution during this short break is to exercise and exercise. been deprived ever since i started teaching.. so tired everyday can't find extra energy to move..

finally finished biahing through my 1 litre of tears.. gotta return today. so i burnt the midnight oil and watched till 3am! sugoi. really regretted doing that man..coz i was crying the whole of the 4 hours i was watching..and today my eyes were so swollen and painful.. AND i received a call this morning to go for an interview. WTH! could barely pry open my own eyes.. spaced out a few times during the interview...

meaning of "spaced out" : was looking into the interviewer's eyes but i was more like staring without any visible sign of engagement.. my mind was really somewhere else and i fought with all my might to focus.
