Good Ole Chomp Chomp & IceCube aka ICE3
met up with the south african gang for dinner. the hokkien mee tasted extremely good. for those who not experienced, only order the Ah Hock Hokkien mee right at the end of the right row of stalls. The Q is long but definitely worth the wait. They hokkien mee they serve is those with bee hoon more than the yellow mee.. so it's real oishii. Sweet potato leaves is a must -order dish there too. Would recommend "Lucy" for the BBQ food.
Dessert was at Ice3. nice cosy (??!) place to ease that sweet tooth after dinner. We ordered a cookies and cream mudpie... 4 of us only ordered 1 mudpie. amazing. but spreading out fats is food. heh.
On our way back, we heard soft whinings and peeped into a box which contained 4 cute newly born pups!! a couple with a pet-shop owner..err..we guessed la..not sure who he is but he had like all the equipment and was teaching the couple how to take care of these pups. their eyes were still closed and their umblical cord was still attached. heard from the couple they found the pups abandoned in a camp and 4 other pups were already dead when they found it.
Never seen newly born pups in my life before!!! They're so cute..!!! I want one too.

Fly with the Singapore Flyer ~
back to the topic.
Been wanting to take the flyer on a weekday coz mochi hates the crowd. Finally tried it yesterday with a good ticket price of $16.50 per tic. If you hold an NTUC Union card, you can purchase the tics at the NTUC Customer Service Counter. The promo is only for day trips from 10am - 6pm only daily till end of Dec 08. One card can book up to max 6 tickets.
The weather cleared up for us and the slight drizzle ceased after our lunch at Popeyes. Yeah!
mochi took too many pics at the Singapore Flyer...... so here's a collage to sum it all.
Shangri-la - The Line
~ I didn't try this but looks rich enuff huh..haha. I feel full just looking at it. ~
~ thought the ice-cream tasted nice and refreshing with all the fruitty flavours...~
~ lousy pic with my hp camera... sighz.. my camera went out batt after my Singapore Flyer Trip...hahaha~
Steamboat @ SunSet Way
It's $28 for a variety of cooked, raw food.
- Raw steamboat ingredients include crabs, scallops, crayfish, salmon sashimi, prawns and the usual chicken and beef and lots more.
- Cooked food includes sushi, handrolls, ebi tempura, mushroom tempura, crispy chicken and more...
- not forgetting desserts like ice-cream and my fave yam paste! If you want to BBQ, you must take the alfresco seats. The aircon seats only permits steamboaters. It's worth a try if you are a buffeteer and if you're around the area......
- remember to drop by The Daily Scoop for their yummy ice-cream too! Highly recommend their Avocado Ice-cream. The parlour is somewhat further in near sunset way's cold storage. Not in the same area as the steamboat.

another shiok song for KTV!!
OPEN
啦啦啦~
我是 open chan 快乐的一天
跟你一起 OPEN! 喔喔喔喔!
我是 open chan 快乐的一天
彩虹长在头上! 喔喔喔喔!

Hitler and ERP woes
Public transport is the best ppl... that's where we must head towards with increasing population and limited land space. 12% of Singapore is occupied by roads..compared to 15% for housing...it's dam alot.

Malacca Trip 16-17 Aug 2008
40 crazy pple set off from HSO. one of the biggest tour group i've ever gone with! Thanks to my department who organised this trip.. I paid only 90 bucks as staff.. and it's 140 for family n friends. it's so cheap for a stay in Malacca Holiday Inn.
The trip started off me going totally gaga over little louis, my colleague's kid. he's so cheeky!! posing so readily in different positions when he saw us shooting him...potential air steward.
Interesting jonk at Jonker street... Jonk means junk in Dutch. Malacca was previously a dutch colony? British colony.?? sorry..my history fail..hahaha... zhen jie! correct me..my first answer is dutch!~
~view from Hotel room..~

start of olympics 2008
switched to olympics channel last night and watched the womens' volleyball, USA vs Japan. the angmohs were strong in their strikes and being smaller in built, nihonjin can only win by skills and tactics. I was very impressed by japs' defence. The way they went all out to save the ball, sprawling all over the floor at the end of each save. amazing. and they dun get hurt when they fall. always wonder how they do that.
They lost but I think it was a graceful exit.
