the frail monk who gained media popularity and exposure by volunteering to walk on steel rods, scale skyscrapers in raffles place.. all in the name of charity.
whenever i watched the shows with him doing those stunts, i never thought much of him. somehow, i tot monks should be simple beings, they should do things behind the scenes rather than blatantly show how they can risk their lives for charity.
my 6th sense was right. he's charged for 10 counts of deceit. forgery, misappropriation of funds and conspiracy to give false information to the Commissioner of Charities. tsk tsk. 不做就不做,要做就做大的.
can't blame if singaporeans become less charitable. been seeing monks in orchard road at LV and coach boutiques.. eh..hello, aren't you all supposed to be chanting prayers praying for peace and harmony? abit disillusioned when I see such things. I'm not that religious but i do go with my family every lunar new year for prayers. it's like the money I dropped into the temple oil box when I pray there just went into that LV bag the monk bought. kaoz.
疯狂世界.
looking forward to HK trip with ahmad and maria. Hope the weather clears up soon.!! =)
