I have to declare that I'm not looking forward to the weekend. For once...
150 pages of copyrighting of the final report which everyone had been slogging for for the past 1 year. not that my english is that powerful, but as the overall secretariat, i just had to do the final vetting through to make sure that sentences flow and paragraphs are integrated.
Not that i'm atas but as I vetted through some of the reports, it is shocking that peoples' english can be so jialatz.
The classic example of bad english was I had to take a deep breath, and rattle through a sentence full of grammatical errors which lasted like 5 full lines. 5 lines in 1 sentence..without any punctuation. imagine the amount of copyediting i had to do.
having said that, that person with poor english is of directorial level. These people can really use bombustic buzz words related to his/her specialisation but putting those cheem words together is another issue altogether.
The moral of the story: Those in higher management need not have a good command of English as long as their subbordinates can do the job.
